Ronald Bohn, Vice President, Collections
Ron has been a part of NEAMA since joining Liberty Bay Credit Union as Director of Collections in April of 2020. His 18 years of collection and banking experience began in 2007, where he managed 3rd Party Telecom and Student Lending for EOSCCA. In 2013, Ron moved on from 3rd Party Collections to Rockland Federal Credit Union, managing the collections department with a focus on loss mitigation, consumer and residential lending. Later in 2018, Ron was called back to EOSCCA to manage the collection departments out of their Massachusetts, Chicago, and Dallas offices. During his final tenure at EOSCCA, Ron helped establish the Pre-Litigation Department creating a nationwide litigation team for their student loan portfolio. Ron is currently Director of Collections at Liberty Bay Credit Union and has vastly improved their delinquencies and member relations. When not in the office or teeing off on the green, Ron enjoys spending quality time with his family and two children, Scarlett and Chip.
Jason Beaulieu, Loss Mitigation Manager
Jason joined the NEAMABoard in 2025, serving as Secretary. Based in Nashua, he brings more than 25years of expertise in collections, loss mitigation, workouts, and servicing.His career includes leadership positions at Belmont Savings Bank, Conquest Funds,USAlliance FCU, where he oversaw a wide range of responsibilities, includingloss mitigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure & repo, along with numerousothers.
Jason is deeplycommitted to fostering clear communication, leveraging data effectively, andcultivating strong, collaborative teams. Beyond his professional endeavors, he enjoys cooking, camping and outdoor life.
Karen Stirling, Collections Manager
Karen is an accomplished banking executive with more than 15 years of experience in collections, default servicing, consumer and residential lending, portfolio risk management, and regulatory compliance. As the Collections Manager at Tremont Credit Union, she leads the strategic direction and daily operations of collections and default servicing, driving portfolio performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Throughout her career, Karen has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams, implementing effective loss mitigation and recovery strategies, and fostering strong relationships with executive leadership, legal counsel, regulators, and industry partners. Her expertise spans loan servicing, asset management, operational leadership, compliance, and process improvement, with a proven ability to balance risk management with exceptional member service.
Karen earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from SNHU, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is a NEAMA Past President of 2023-24 and was nationally recognized by American Legal & Financial Network (ALFN) with the 2024 JPEG "Picture the Future" Award for her leadership, innovation, and commitment to developing future leaders within the financial services industry.
Courtney Creighton, Vice President, Financial Assistance and Loan Servicing
Courtney joined NEAMA in December of 2021 and has been in the Credit Union industry for 15 years. She started out as a teller at Granite State Credit Union while attending UNH-Manchester, majoring in business. While at GSCU, Courtney worked in member services and eServices. After finishing at UNH, she moved on to St. Mary’s Bank where she was for 11 years. During her tenure at SMB, Courtney moved up very quickly through the Collections department, becoming Senior Collector within her first year and Supervisor by year 2. Courtney took over as the AVP/Manager during the COVID-19 Pandemic and helped her team achieve record low delinquency and net charge offs. In 2024, Courtney started her new role at USAlliance Financial as Vice President of Financial Assistance and Loan Servicing, overseeing multiple departments including Collections, Loss Mitigation and Loan Servicing. Courtney lives in Southern New Hampshire with her husband, Josh, and their son Walker.
Brian Talbot, Regional Vice President
A Boston native, Brian joined Lee & Mason Financial in February 2021 with over 8 years of account management and sales experience. In Brian’s role, he is responsible for the retention and growth of the New England territory. Prior to joining Lee & Mason, Brian was a Senior Consultant for a national employee benefits insurance brokerage that specializes in health and welfare programs for employers and their employees. His primary roles included managing clients’ benefit plans as well as direct and indirect sales channels for new clients. Brian is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross with a degree in economics. He lives on the south shore of Massachusetts with his wife, Jen, and two daughters, Ava and Colby. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time and fishing in the New Hampshire lakes region.

Neil S. Cohen, Esquire
Neil is the Managing Director at Barsh and Cohen, P.C., a full-service real estate law firm and title company with over 75 years of experience. The firm represents Banks, Credit Unions, Lending Institutions and entities that require transactional related services. Neil's office is proficient in Residential and Commercial Closings, Foreclosures, Creditor Bankruptcy and Recoveries. The firm's title company focuses on non-insurance title reports designed for informational purposes to aid in the closing of home equity loans and lines of credit. Barsh and Cohen, P.C., offers Legal and Vesting reports with the appropriate insurance as well as a national network of title examiners. Neil is also an avid supporter of community groups and non-profit agencies that work closely with the public on issues related to education and health of children and their families.

Jacquelyn Smith, Vice President, Default Manager
Jackie joined Eastern Bank in July 2022, bringing extensive experience in collections, default servicing, loss mitigation, and foreclosure management. Initially focused on Loss Mitigation and Customer Experience, she has since assumed additional leadership responsibilities, managing a team of six while continuing to oversee key areas including Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure Alternatives, Foreclosure Operations, and Bankruptcy. Her expertise includes helping borrowers navigate financial hardship, evaluating retention and liquidation options, managing foreclosure timelines, and ensuring compliance with investor, regulatory, and legal requirements throughout the default servicing lifecycle.
Prior to joining Eastern Bank, Jackie spent six years at UniBank for Savings. In addition to her default servicing and collections expertise, Jackie has contributed to System Conversion Projects, Collateral Analysis, Intranet Authoring, and Event Planning initiatives. She is a graduate of Keene State College, Class of 2011, holding a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Philosophy.
Jason Bouchard, Vice President Collections
Jason joined Greenwood Credit Union in February 2019. He manages the Collections Department and oversees the Foreclosure, Repossession, Bankruptcy, Compliance, Auditing, Credit Bureau Reporting, Loss Mitigation, and the collection system maintenance. He also serves on the IT Steering Committee. Previously Jason was the 1st VP-Retail Lending at Coastway Community Bank. Jason has 21 years of experience in the loan origination, loan servicing, and loan collection areas. Jason is a graduate of Providence College, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Notable honors include CCAP’s Partner in Philanthropy in 2015. Jason actively serves on the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee for the Westbay Community Action in Warwick, RI.
Gary Long, Vice President Collections
Gary is the Vice President of Collections at Align Credit Union, where he has led the collections and loss mitigation functions since joining in November 2023. With over two decades of experience in both first-party banking collections and third-party debt recovery, Gary is an expert in managing complex portfolios, including delinquent Residential Mortgages, Home Equity Lines, Consumer, and Commercial Loans (including SBA). His responsibilities encompass all aspects of loss mitigation, bankruptcy management, credit dispute resolution, compliance, and daily operations. Gary has built his career through roles at institutions like North Shore Bank, Cambridge Savings Bank, and The Savings Bank. He is an active member of NEAMA, having served as its President from 2019–2020.
